Restaurant-1.jpg

A casual bistro-style dining space with small bar and window counter seating. The backdrop to an ever changing menu of wines by the glass and bottle, from artisanal wine makers within Europe.

The cooking at Juliet celebrates seasonal produce; taking inspiration from France and Italy, we source the best European and British produce with help from our suppliers.

Working with farmers and butchers in the locality, our dishes prioritise fruits, vegetables and meats grown and reared within a short supply chain, in addition to produce provided from our own Walled Garden at Lypiatt Park.

Expect a menu of considered dishes designed to share, ranging from appetisers and smaller dishes to larger plates cooked on our grill.

Juliet takes a responsible approach to sustainability and has consciously considered its environmental and social impact in every element of its design; sourcing of food and wine; energy footprint; water use; waste recycling; and approach to employees and local community.

Design

The interior design of the restaurant incorporated recycled materials and second-hand furniture and glassware. Examples include the leather for the banquettes, wood panelling for the piano bar walls & stainless steel for the kitchen and bar.

We have used LED lighting and monitor the use of our energy and water in a responsible manner.

Our front of house staff uniforms where made by a small designer and manufacturer in London using British yarn, buttons and thread.

Food & Beverage

Wherever possible, our wines are sourced from small European wineries using organic or biodynamic farming methods with minimal chemical impact to reduce the negative impact on biodiversity; whilst also reducing carbon emissions through limited transportation. We are also proud to support the first female founded London based, B-Corp distillery for our gin and vodka.

We source all our food and coffee from local suppliers, who share the same sustainability standards as ourselves. For example, our seasonal vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers are sourced locally from Lypiatt Park or Good Small Farms, a B-Corp using regenerative farming methods. Our coffee is supplied by Bristol based, Triple Co Roast, which sources high quality ‘green’ coffee beans directly from the farmers in South America in order that they obtain a fair price, thereby guaranteeing the quality of their coffee.

Reducing Waste

We aim to keep waste to a minimum with 95% of our packaging or paper using recycled materials to limit our impact on forest resources.

We consciously try to minimise food waste. For example, we buy local meat and butcher it ourselves, so that we can use every part of the animal.

We would like to be known for being an employer of choice who, provides opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds and we believe in diversity and inclusion. We therefore not only pay our employees generously, but also invest in their training and development.
